See scan - absolutely perfect condition. This is an extremely scarce and rare and very important piece of world aviation history. This is a large studio portrait real photo / photograph showing the Bulgarian Balkan Wars ace Prodan Tarakchiev in front of his airplane during 1912. prodan Tarakchiev is world known for his being the first ever human to decide to drop bombs and grenades from an airplane while flying - thus becoming the first combat flight bomber pilot. This happened on 16th of October 1912 over the Ottoman Turkish fortress of Edirne (now Odrin) as part of the combat campaigns during the Balkan wars of 1912 - 1913. During the Balkan War conflict countries like Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey were in war against each other and that war was one of the reasons for the later WWI. The photo of this Bulgarian pilot ace and first pioneer bomber was taken scarcely 10 days before the historical event took place and is boldly dated and signed / autographed at the back cardboard base personally by the pilot. There is also a text in Bulgarian that he presents his photo to the parents of his best friend and fellow pilot Tabakov. Absolutely scarce and rare military history / militaria collector piece and one of the rarest pioneer aviation and pilots aces autographed document.
